NRG Media Auto America Racing Challenge Official Rules

How to play the Racing Challenge:

The Racing Challenge is an online contest sponsored nationally by UPICKEM/Second Street Media. 
KROR is also offering local prizes to local winners using listeners’ entries in the national contest.

These rules are for local prizes offered by KROR only.

The contest begins February 8, 2016 and will end on November 23, 2016.

Follow the instructions to register on the contest page. Once registered, each week make your top ten driver picks for that week’s race, one per registered user. Submit your entry at least fifteen (15) minutes before each race.

All times local. One registration per person, one entry per person per race. If multiple accounts are detected for a single user, they will be disabled and user will be disqualified. Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.

Local points leader will be announced on-air Monday at 12 Noon for the most recent race. All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.

Prizes. 
Local prizes: Bragging rights (priceless), weekly prize will be a single topping pizza from Papa Johns in Grand Island – Valued at $15.00


Local Grand Prize: The user ranked highest in points at the end of the racing season will win the Grand Prize of a 70 inch big screen TV from Auto America in Grand Island, valued at $                      

No purchase necessary, void where prohibited by law.

 

You must be 19 and reside with 120 miles of Grand Island NE to play the contest.

 

Employees of Station, NRG Media, other radio stations in Station’s market; their affiliates, subsidiaries, successor companies; contest sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, contest prize suppliers, participating advertisers and immediate family members of anyone so situated are not eligible to participate in any contest on Station.  “Immediate family members” shall include spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws” and any other persons residing at the same household location, whether or not related.

 

Local prize winner will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. KROR may elect to not award the prize at its own discretion. Forfeited prizes will be disposed of at the discretion of Station management. Prizes may only be claimed at Station’s studio during office hours Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. Prizes cannot be claimed by a third-party on behalf of the winner. KROR-FM reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

Odds of Winning depend on number of entries.


KROR-FM, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for (i) violating any of these rules, (ii) tampering with the entry process or the operation of Station electronic site, (iii) gaining an unfair advantage in participating in the contest, (iv) obtaining winner status using false or fraudulent means or information, or (v) engaging in otherwise unsportsmanlike, illegal, disruptive, annoying, harassing, or threatening behavior.

 

Winners must provide satisfactory proof of age, photo identification, and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize will be awarded. Station reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.

 

In addition, winner agrees to execute an affidavit of eligibility, indemnification and release of liability regarding winner’s participation in the contest and receipt and use of the prize before any prize is awarded.  Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release Station, NRG Media,sponsors and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.

 

All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes including any sales taxes. Any person winning over $600 in prizes during any one year period will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year. Any additional costs relating to the prizes, and incurred as a result of accepting the prizes, are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Failure to execute any required documents or comply with any of the terms will result in forfeiture of the prize.

 

RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

 

Unless prohibited by law, contestant’s participation in contest constitutes consent and license for Station, NRG Media and contest sponsors, without any further obligation or compensation to the contest participant, to use participant’s name, voice, biographical data, likeness and user-generated content for promotional purposes in any media in any form now known or hereinafter invented and/or marketing purposes, unless prohibited by law.

 

Station, NRG Media, their subsidiaries and affiliates, their officers, directors and employees, and sponsors assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for damages, loss or injury resulting from participating in any contest or acceptance or use of any prize and are not affiliated with the award or the administration of the national contest sponsored by UPickEM and Second Street Media.

 

The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or KROR-FM. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

UPICKEM and KROR-FM are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.

This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.

KROR-FM reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
